At the age of only 10 months, Carlos Tevez suffered from third degree burns to his face, neck and chest after tipping a pan of boiling water all over himself.
When Carlos played for Boca Junior, he was offered a costly cosmetic surgery to help cover his scars. However, the talented player refused with an explanation that it was a defining experience and it marked him for life, he wouldn’t change the way he was.

Italian soccer player Antonio Cassano often looks older than his actual age due to prominent acne scars. It was said that when the footballer was in Real Madrid, he had a skin graft to cover the scars and avoid direct sunbathing for at least four days.
