Best dressed at the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala: Katy Perry, Georgia May Jagger, Coco Rocha and Anja Rubik

A host of celebrities gathered at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City to attend the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala on Wednesday (May 1). This year’s festivities, which drew names like Katy Perry, Coco Rocha, Georgia May Jagger and Lindsey Vonn, were hosted by Nate Berkus and DKMS founder Katharina Harf. Not only did the event feature two stirring performances by Jill Scott and Lady Antebellum, but it also honored three women with the Delete Blood Cancer Award, including fashion designer Vera Wang, actress Leighton Meester and OPI artistic director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. Besides, the red carpet of the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala was full of colours and all kinds of style-obsessed types. From Katy Perry to Coco Rocha and Julie Henderson, it looked like that the beautiful women tried to stand out among the fashion pack and shined at the black-tie affair. Let’s check out the best dresses the stars donned to the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala in New York City.

Katy Perry arrived at the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala in a blue baroque print fishtail frock by Vera Wang that was perfectly fitted to her every curve. The pop star teamed her dress with Jimmy Choo heels and accessorized with a Judith Leiber clutch. She wore Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and kept her raven hair back with a side fringe to finish off her look.

Georgia May Jagger opted for a svelte black Just Cavalli shift with peek-a-boo lace detailing to the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala. The sleeveless dress featured a lace panel at the bottom of it, showing off her slim thighs and long legs. The daughter of rock star Mick jagger and model Jerry Hall combined her number with a pair of strappy heels, wearing her long blonde hair down with a slightly messy unbrushed look.

Delete Blood Cancer co-founder Katharina Harf dazzled on the red carpet in a scarlet strapless gown by Derek Lam at the event.

Coco Rocha went prim, tailored and cool but also more than a little weird. The 24-year-old supermodel looked awesome in dark skinny trousers and a dark shirt embellished jacket.

Julie Henderson chose a tangerine orange one-shoulder-dress for her bright and bold red carpet look at the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala.

Model Anja Rubik looked very fashionable in a tux inspired bow-front dress that ended dramatically with a long train at the back. The ensemble was from Hedi Slimane’s debut Saint Laurent collection.

Emmy Awards 2013: Worst Dressed Stars on the Red Carpet

The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards officially took place at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday evening (September 22). The event was attended by a slew of big stars such as Heidi Klum, Carrie Underwood and more. While many celebrities looked stunning in their gorgeous gowns, some others failed to impress on the red carpet at the show.

Here is the list of worst dressed stars at the 2013 Emmy Awards.

1. Zosia Mamet

Zosia Mamet appeared on the red carpet at the 2013 Emmy Awards in a floral custom-made dress by Honor designer Giovanna Randall and we cannot decide if it is icky or not. The let’s-just-call-it-unique gown featured a watercolour-inspired print and a built-in bandeau on the bodice. The “Girls” star styled the look with black Brian Atwood’s peep-toe pumps with swept back tresses. She completed her appearance with smokey eye, navy nails and a pink lip.

2. Lena Dunham

The 2013 Emmy Awards brought tons of stunning looks but Lena Dunham‘s dress was not one of them. Her floral Prada gown in a bright teal color did little to flatter her figure as she posed on the red carpet at the event. The turquoise silk gazarre gown was combined with platform sandals and a red clutch and all by Prada.

3. Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul looked like the Oscar trophy as she arrived at the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night (September 22, 2013). The iconic singer was wrapped from neck to foot in shiny gold foil and this whole look was completely mental. She accessorized her dress with a Chanel clutch but it could not make her more beautiful on the red carpet.

4. Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood failed to impress in a Ramon Keveza purple dress as she showed up at the Emmys. The strapless amethyst silk shantung taffeta gown featured a sculpted bodice and ballgown skirt accented with a black waistband. The Grammy-winning singer teamed her ensemble with Jimmy Choo shoes and finished off her appearance with Johnathon Arndt jewels and side-swept do.

5. Kate Mara

Like Carrie Underwood and Paula Abdul, Kate Mara also lead the worst dressed list at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards. She could not steal attention on the red carpet in a J Mendel dress and bag. The 30-year-old actress paired her dress with Charlotte Olympia heels and finished off her look with Irene Neuwirth ring.

Best Dressed at 2013 American Music Awards

The 2013 American Music Awards officially took place at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday night and that was a great night for fashion. As usual, the annual awards show was attended by a host of celebrities, including big names such as Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Heidi Klum and more. The stars looked extremely confident and gorgeous at the event as they walked on the red carpet and posed for cameras. All of them dressed to impress and attempted to steal the limelight. Fortunately, they didn’t disappoint. From gorgeous gowns to elegant suits, there were so many stunning outfits that helped the stars shine and stand out.

Let’s look at who impressed on the red carpet as this year’s American Music Awards.

Taylor Swift looked gorgeous at the 2013 American Music Awards in a glittering gold Julien MacDonald minidress that featured a seriously short hemline. The 23-year-old star accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and finished off to perfection with Jimmy Choo strappy sandals.

Miley Cyrus dazzled on the red carpet at the 2013 American Music Awards in a fairly sedate Versus Versace white trouser suit. The “Wrecking Ball” hitmaker paired her number with Saint Laurent shoes and completed her appearance with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Christina Aguilera brought some old school glamor to the show as she was dressed in her simple, winter white Maria Lucia Hohan gown. The star teamed it with Christian Louboutin shoes and a Jimmy Choo bag. She also wore Lorraine Schwartz jewels to finish off her look.

Katy Perry brought a much needed shot of Hollywood glamour as she hit the 2013 AMAs in a black floor-length Oscar de la Renta gown. The dress, which featured white polka dots and embroidered roses, was combined with Charlotte Olympia shoes. She completed her look with an Olympia Le Tan bag.

Music Choice carpet correspondent Bonnie McKee made a perfect choice with a skintight white gown while posing for cameras at the star-studded event.
